New items in my shop!!

Check out this item in my Etsy shop https://www.etsy.com/listing/540254481/buttered-popcorn-soap

Yes, as a huge fan of popcorn, I had to make buttered popcorn soap!

I have also listed a chevron knitted hat. I plan to add more of my knitted and crocheted items in my shop later this month.

Hoping everyone has a safe and happy 4th of July!

I am going to be a grandmother!

I have been bursting with happiness for the past three weeks! My middle daughter is pregnant with her first child, my first grandbaby! We are so excited! She had her first appointment and ultrasound last week and everything looks good! So now I am allowed to shout it from the rooftop!

The only baby things I have ever made were a pair of socks, a hat and blanket.

These were made last year.

Of course, after I was told the good news, I began searching for baby items to make! Here is my first crocheted baby sweater.

I  followed a YouTube video and used left over yarns.  (Red heart and Sweet Roll) It was meant to be a practice run, but turned out very nice and was so simple to make.

I then bought Top This by DMC yarn. I normally like to loom knit hats, but I got out of my comfort zone and tried knitting on circular needles. I am now obessed with them!

I have made three other baby hats, but decided to wait on making other projects until we learn if the baby is a girl or boy. (Ten more weeks)

My Etsy shop is back open! I decided to keep it simple this time and not go overboard like I usually do! I plan to sell soaps only this time. I may sell my crocheted and knitted items, I haven’t decided yet. I still make bath bombs, but by family and friend requests only.

Happy Monday!

Soap bags!

Do you know that one frugal person who won’t throw away a sliver of soap because it would be wasteful? I have the perfect gift for them! Soap saver bags!

Just throw the scraps into the bag and you will never waste soap again! Or put a whole bar in it!

I just added these cute bags to my Etsy shop last night. Two bags for $5. Go check it out! The colors available are purple, orange, blue and holiday.

I will be adding more colors eventually. I hope you have a great weekend! Melissa

Tangerine Madness

Did I tell you that I love making soap?! I call the soap above Tangerine Madness! I have a plain bar in my shop and this big bar, which can be cut in two pieces. I was having fun playing with piping and really loved how the top turned out.

Last night I made bubble bars and tonight I have to make 30 bath bombs for my daughters portfolio show! I am very excited for her! She graduates from art school at the end of the month.

Above are my Honeysuckle and plain Tangerine soaps. Stop by my Etsy shop for a browse!

Halloween Soaps

I made Halloween Soaps the other day! The fragrance is Pumpkin spice. It smells incredible!

What I really love is watching it change colors! Which makes it a but creepier!

My embeds are made with melt and pour soap and the cupcake and icing are cold process soap. These creepy soaps will be in my Etsy shop next month.

Happy suds!

Bath Bombs

Not only do I make soap, I also make bath bombs, scrubs, solid lotion bars, bubble bars, whipped lotions, soaking salts and chap stick! I am obsessed!

The gift bag above was taken to a community Bingo night. (I wonder if they are tired of my bath products! ) I put my products in colorful bags to grab people’s attention! Seems to work!

This year for holiday gifts, I plan to do gifts baskets. I also plan to add them to my Etsy shop as well.

I have several fragrances to make bath bombs, with more coming in this week!

If you haven’t stopped by my shop, look for Little Miss Suds. If you have any suggestions for ideas and fragrances,  please leave a comment!
